Volunteer with ERBM!

Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting staff in the implementation of activities and special events. They bring positivity and enthusiasm, help supervise participants, and ensure a safe environment. Volunteers also provide valuable feedback and suggestions for program improvements, and they adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Volunteer Handbook.

How to apply:

1. Read the Volunteer Handbook (linked below).

2. Complete the free NAYS Concussion Training (linked below) and print or save a copy of your certificate.

3. Complete the Volunteer Application below or pick up a hard-copy version at Meeker Recreation Center, 101 Ute Road.

4. Submit your NAYS Concussion Training Certificate. You may email it to shelly@erbmrec.com or hand-deliver a copy to Meeker Recreation Center, 101 Ute Road.

After you submit your application, ERBM staff will determine if a background check is necessary to work with high-risk groups (as outlined in the Volunteer Handbook.)

If a background check is needed, you will be contacted and asked to provide additional details. To do so, scroll to the bottom of this page and tap "Authorize Background Check".

If you have any questions or need accessibility assistance, please contact Recreation Manager/Accessibility Coordinator Shelly Rogers at 970-878-7415 or stop by Meeker Recreation Center, 101 Ute Road, Meeker, CO.

1. Volunteer Handbook

The Volunteer Handbook provides a comprehensive overview of responsibilities, benefits, policies and procedures related to volunteering with the District. This document has handy links to each of the steps you'll need to take to become a volunteer (concussion training, application, etc.)

Any volunteer working with youth as a coach, assistant, or in any other volunteer position must complete a concussion education course and submit their course certificate before the first day of volunteering.

The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) Concussion Training takes approximately 30 minutes.

Please print or save your completion certificate to submit with your volunteer application. Training and recertification must be completed annually.

3. Volunteer Application

The digital volunteer application takes only a few minutes to complete!

If you would like a print application, please stop by Meeker Recreation Center to pick up a copy.

4. Submit your concussion training certificate.

Submit your NAYS Concussion Training Certificate to the Recreation Department. Email to shelly@erbmrec.com or hand-deliver a copy to Meeker Recreation Center, 101 Ute Road, Meeker, CO.
